Weed in California

 February 13, 2010 Road trip USA

Hi everyone,

We escaped because the Olympics and the City of Van. is not issuing building permits so we're screwed. Our plan was to travel South till we found the Sun and warmth.  Instead Jen and I are in Weed California,  We drove though the night.  Our new goal is to make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We have a full tank of gas, it's dark out and we're wearing sunglasses.

Have you guys ever watched that TV show about cop chases.  Well look for us next week.  We were part of and surrounded by not less than 12 state troopers.  The guy in the lead mustang (not a cop - middle of the night donning shades with his interior lights on) tried twice to run us off the road, among other erratic and dangerous "grand theft auto" inspired moves.  The pursuit last at least 20 miles, on and off the hwy until he made a break at an exit with his red and blue entourage in hot pursuit.  I wonder how it ended?  That all happened within the second hour in "Gun Land".  It's nice that we're still young enough to see the fun it that experience.  Don't tell our moms or they'll worry!  We'll write more as it happens.  Be well.
